CLEVELAND (Jan. 30, 2020) – Sherwin-Williams has announced five winners for its 2019 Vendor of the Year awards at the company’s National Sales Meeting in Orlando, Florida. The ceremony, which was held Monday, Jan. 27, recognizes vendors and suppliers for their exceptional partnerships with Sherwin-Williams and commitment to customer solutions.
“Our vendors and suppliers play an important role in Sherwin-Williams success year after year through innovative solutions, new products and their consistent focus on the customer,” said Tracey Gairing, vice president of marketing and procurement, Sherwin-Williams. “It is an honor for us to recognize them for all their work and contribution to the business. We look forward to continuing these successful partnerships."
2019 Vendors of the Year
The Sherwin-Williams Vendor Awards recognize partners that deliver outstanding performance in sales results, excellence in creativity and product innovation, and an exceptional overall service to Sherwin-Williams stores, distribution centers and customers.
Dumond Chemicals: A long-time partner and four-time Vendor of the Year winner, the chemical company provides products that meet new stripper safety regulations while meeting our customers’ business requirements. Dumond Chemical also developed and provided graffiti removal test kits targeting Sherwin-Williams property management customers, helping them handle and remove graffiti as efficiently as possible.
Roppe: As Sherwin-Williams first fully EDI flooring supplier and a three-time Vendor of the Year winner, Roppe continues to centralize its product mix to provide everything from rubber flooring and wall bases to accessories for the commercial flooring market. As a long-time partner, they continue to provide Sherwin-Williams with innovative flooring products, outstanding customer service, strong in-stock product availability and flexible shipping requirements that ensure each store's success.
Adhesives Technology: A first-time Vendor of the Year winner, Adhesives Technology provides strong support to Sherwin-Williams national accounts, and an excellent service to Multi-Family and Property Management customers. The company continues to actively engage in customer training and booth support at apartment association conferences and ProShows reaching Sherwin-Williams property managers and owners.
Shurtape Technologies: Winning the award for the ninth time, Shurtape Technologies has been a long-time supplier and consistent partner to Sherwin-Williams. Recently the company expanded its premium brand with a hybrid tape that offers upgraded performance to contractor masking tape, reaching a new customer base and significantly increasing their unit growth.
Buffalo Industries: As a two-time honoree, Buffalo Industries provides strong ProShow presence and in-store support for their wiping rags. Their new packaging launch, innovative demos and employee training build excitement for the product as they continue to create a strong shelf presence across Sherwin-Williams stores.
