Biesse’s North American distributors, SOPHIA in the spotlight at 2018 Dealer Academy

Charlotte, North Carolina – Biesse recently welcomed distributors from across North America to the 2018 Dealer Academy at the company’s world HQs in Pesaro, Italy.

The aim of this five-day event was to offer dealers a platform for continuous training from Biesse product specialists, all of whom have more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Dealers received comprehensive training on the company’s complete range of CNC machines, edgebanders, sanders and panel saws along with guided factory tours for each product category.

“Distributors play an integral part in Biesse’s success as a company,” said Biesse VP of Sales Mike Johnson. “We’re committed to providing them with the highest level of training and educational opportunities. The Dealer Academy is a perfect example of that with a full week of giving dealers the tools they need to succeed including the sharing of best practices designed to grow business.”

Distributors also witnessed first-hand the power of SOPHIA, Biesse’s revolutionary IoT app and cloud-based software management tool that helps users achieve higher productivity by providing them with an easy-to-use dashboard containing real-time visibility of machine status, performance and functionality. Remote diagnostics, machine stoppage analysis and fault prevention are among SOPHIA’s features and benefits to ensure more profitable runtime and less costly downtime for Customers.

SOPHIA is also integrated with Biesse’s new PARTS replacement web portal that allows users to navigate within a personalized account, providing access to all information on purchases and allowing a replacement parts shopping cart to be submitted as well as the progress of orders to be monitored.
