Dorel’s Ameriwood Home division is expanding its task-related home office furniture collections.
The popularity of combining office and living space has prompted Ameriwood to expand on styles and collections that incorporate coordinating desks and bookcases to create more flexible dedicated workspaces for consumers who want to blend task furniture in the home.
“We are seeing sales of home office rising, yet there is not tons of newness in the market,” said Brianna Phares, Ameriwood director of marketing. “It was important for Ameriwood Home to expand our top selling looks into our office category and coordinate to their current collections for living room and bedroom.”
The consumer desire to work from almost anywhere in the home, paired with the small-space living trend, has generated a surge in sales of home office items that serve multiple purposes, Ameriwood noted. The company has launched offerings under its Eastwood, Brewer, Carter and Brookspoint lineups to give consumers the chance to choose from full small-office inclusive collections.
The Eastwood line consists of bedroom items paired with a bookcase and desk finished in either matte black with gold handles or walnut with black handles. Industrial collections featuring mixed materials, the Carter and Brookspoint groups offer distressed iron frames paired with weathered barn-inspired woodgrains, while the Brewer collection mixes sleek metal with lightly distressed wood tones to provide a different style.
All of the collections will hit the market by the end of summer through online retailers, Ameriwood noted, and give consumers the chance to create home office spaces for under $350.
