NATIONAL BUSINESS FURNITURE NAMES ALLAN KLOTSCHE AS ITS NEXT PRESIDENT

MILWAUKEE, Wisc., October 26, 2017 – National Business Furniture has named Allan Klotsche as its new president. Kent Anderson, the company’s current president, will take on a new role with TAKKT America, National Business Furniture’s parent company, investigating new investment opportunities. Klotsche started at NBF on October 23 and will work with Anderson for the remainder of the year to ensure a smooth transition.

“Allan’s knowledge of the office furniture industry and extensive leadership experience make him the right person to help lead the company to its next stage of growth,” said Anderson.

During his 25-year career with Brady Corporation, Klotsche began in outside sales and held a variety of domestic marketing roles before transitioning into his role of president of Asia Pacific where he worked across the region for 12 years. In his last role at Brady, Allan led the global human resources team. After leaving Brady, Allan joined the Baird Capital team to run one of their private equity companies, Mayline, a manufacturer of office furniture. After three years, Klotsche and team sold the business to Safco Products, a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of office furniture.

Klotsche’s passion for learning is evidenced by his role as Executive In Residence at The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Lubar School of Business where he teaches management courses in the Executive MBA program, MBA Programs and mentors students.

"After having NBF as a leading customer for the past three years, I look forward to now being part of the team,” said Klotsche. “Kent and the team have developed a well-balanced, multi-channel strategy and with the strong backing and commitment from TAKKT, we are committed to accelerating our growth through e-commerce and digitization.”

Anderson’s tenure as president lead the company through a transition from primarily a catalog company to a multi-channel marketer, importer and distributor of a broad array of workplace equipment and furnishings nationwide, including a private label brand that provides unmatched value to customers. This transition developed a new and unique way to shop for furniture, combining the best of brick and mortar with ecommerce. NBF’s footprint has expanded to include warehouses in three states and sales offices in 20 states.
