The International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA NY) has appointed Katie Michael-Battaglia to succeed Rebecca Dorris Steiger as its new chapter president.
“I’m excited to begin my tenure as IIDA NY’s president,” said Michael-Battaglia. “This organization has been a necessary tool for me to connect with so many talented people in the community, elevating my designs and skills, and I look forward to furthering its initiatives.”
Michael-Battaglia is currently the design director at Nemo Tile Company, where she is responsible for showroom and layout design, decision-making, product research, and working with designers and manufacturers to ensure all products are communicated effectively. MichaelBattaglia earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Cincinnati and has taught interior design courses at the Parsons School of Design and California College of the Arts.
