IMA Schelling Group USA Highlights Process Integration at IWF Atlanta
IMA Schelling Group USA, a provider of sales and after-sales support of IMA and Schelling products for the woodworking industry, will introduce new machines at the International Woodworking Fair 2018 in Atlanta, August 22-25. Schelling’s booth (#5013) theme this year is “The Space Where Innovation Meets Automation” – a nod to their integration of a CR Onsrud router with a Schelling fh5 panel saw and Schelling vs Area Storage Retrieval System all connected via Eurosofts’ SquareOne MES software.
Also new at IWF, will be an integration of edgebander and return conveyor controlled automatically via barcode through SquareOne software. The IMA Novimat Compact R3 edgebander handles all aspects of edge processing. Coiled materials can be applied with PUR glue and the R3’s IMALUX laser. Included are additional units for smoothing operations. The Barbaric RTS 02 Return Conveyor automatically back-turns 90° or 180° and requires only one operator to manually insert panels, eliminating a second operator.
Other machines on display at IWF 2018 include:
IMA Novimat Compact L12
The IMA Novimat Compact L12 is a solution for professional woodworkers. The edgebanding machine handles a wide range of edge processing, offering a highly professional approach to industrial edgebanding.
Schelling fh6 Integrated with a Barbaric LCV Linear Feeding System
The Schelling fh6 wood panel saw delivers up to 37 HP of power with the highest degree of precision. The Barbaric LCV Linear Feeding System has been developed specifically for panel saws, it is modularly constructed to enable any size construction and offers the highest level of ergonomics and a considerable savings potential.
IMA BIMA Cx40
The BIMA Cx40 / E / R is the new ergonomic CNC-processing center range with integrated edgebanding for high-quality and flexible complete processing of individual small batch and batch size-1 fabrication of irregularly shaped furniture components.
Priess & Horstmann BAT-SAX-CNC
The BAT-SAX-CNC is a drilling and routing machine for six sided panels. The machine is equipped with a patented transport and clamping system, with all axis adjustments controlled via controlled NC servo.
vs Area Storage System
The Schelling area storage system is a fully engineered and automated solution for areas ranging from 13.1 to 65.6 ft wide and up to 328 ft long, handling stacks up to 78.75 in high. Storing, retrieving, repositioning, and dispatching employ a trolley that operates quickly, precisely, and economically by a traveling beam and bridge above the board stacks.
fh5 Automatic Wood Panel Saw
The fh5 automatic panel saw is a cut-to-size saw for both demanding craftsmen and for those just starting industrial production. Precision and consistently accurate cutting combined with automation and optimized processes result higher productivity. The powerful 28.5 HP fh5 processes all types of wooden boards with ease
