Hettich Group turnover up 3.75 per cent in 2016
6200 staff turn over € 913 m world-wide
The Hettich group of companies with its headquarters in Kirchlengern generated a turnover of € 913 million in 2016. This represents an increase of 3.75 percent over the year before (2015: € 880 million).
As announced by the Chairman of the Management Board, managing partner Dr. Andreas Hettich, business abroad rose to 69 percent of turnover after accounting for 68 percent the year before. In 2016, some € 116 million were invested in products, plant and buildings world-wide. Around the globe, the group employed an average of 6200 members of staff over the year. More than 3400 of these workplaces were in Germany.
In full family ownership, the company has a tradition of not publishing specific operating figures. "Although sales growth was respectable last year, we had hoped to do better", Dr. Andreas Hettich said.
In Kirchlengern, the Hettich Group's largest production facility worldwide will be completed in 2017. At Interzum, which is taking place in Cologne from 16 to 19 May 2017, Hettich will be exhibiting under the banner of Fascin[action], fascinated by solutions.
