Gus Design teams with Teknion in office market

TORONTO – Furniture designer and manufacturer Gus Design Group has entered into a new alliance with Teknion, a leading international designer and manufacturer of office systems and furniture products.

The alliance will broaden Gus Design Group’s exposure to the architecture and design industry, while the Gus Modern Collection of sofas, chairs, ottomans and occasional tables will expand and complement Teknion’s integrated product portfolio.

“This collaboration is a great opportunity for us to work with Teknion and further extend and enrich planning possibilities in the modern workplace,” said Matt Parass, managing partner at Gus Design Group. “Through Teknion dealers, the Gus Modern product portfolio becomes more accessible to architecture and design professionals who, though familiar with our brand, were previously limited in their ability to efficiently access our offerings.”

“Gus Design Group products complement our Teknion and Studio TK brands,” said David Feldberg, president and CEO of Teknion. “This new venture with Gus Design Group enables us to further expand our product portfolio and offer Teknion customers more ancillary products for their modern offices.”

Soft-contract furniture – modern residential furniture suited to contract settings – can bring balance to the workplace, acting as a counterpoint to the rigor of high-performance office furniture, while supporting work cultures that value human-centered design. Gus Modern products provide a variety of options for informal spaces that blend residential design elements with a clean-lined aesthetic, and integrate seamlessly with Teknion’s offerings. Furnishings from Gus, in concert with Teknion furniture, align with Teknion’s research-based philosophy that “the true measure of a space is how it makes us feel.”

Under the terms of the agreement, customers will have access to the Gus Modern Collection through Teknion’s North American dealer distribution network. Common specification tools, order platforms, and consolidated shipping will simplify the ordering process.
