Genesis Products, a leading supplier of laminated panels and components, welcomes Chris Tutuska and Wayne Gordon to the product team at Funder – now a division of Genesis Products acquired in January 2023. Both Gordon and Tutuska are well-known experts in the decorative surface and cabinet space, bolstering Genesis Products’ ability to drive progress on the industrial wood side of their business.
Wayne Gordon will serve as Product Director – Surfaces, with more than three decades of experience in wood-related decorative surfaces, 10 of those years dedicated to the printing industry. Before joining Genesis Products, Gordon spent over 8 years with Decotone Surfaces as their Director of Design and National Specifications where he developed new materials that included HPL, films, acrylics, metals and acoustical solutions. This will be Gordon’s second position working with Funder, where he’ll be focused on creating surface synergies and enhancements across panel types and cabinet doors.
“After 34 years in the decorative surfaces and gravure printing industries, the creative spark has come back and I am excited to be part of such a dynamic and creative team,” said Gordon.
Chris Tutuska joins Genesis as Product Director, focused on Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) panels and cabinet doors. Chris has held various product development and management positions within the cabinet industry, including at American Woodmark and Wellborn Cabinets over the past decade. With a background in both engineering and industrial design, Tutuska is uniquely suited to drive the product development process, from concept to full-scale commercialization. As Product Director he will be responsible for developing product, strategies and roadmaps, enhancing product offerings and strengthening market position.
