The Materials, Technology & Design Symposium is a part of the Composite Panel Association (CPA) Fall Meeting. It is an event that brings together panel producers, surface material manufacturers, specifiers, and end-users to learn about cutting-edge trends in advanced materials and global design 1. The symposium will be held on November 18, 2021

CPA’s members are committed to product advancement and industry competitiveness. As an accredited standards developer, CPA writes and publishes industry product standards. It also participates in the standards development work of ANSI, ASTM, and others, sponsors product acceptance activities, and works with government agencies and model building code bodies 2. CPA also conducts product testing and third-party certification programs, including the Eco-Certified Composite TM (ECC) Standard — a voluntary industry standard developed by CPA for composite wood panels made with particleboard, MDF, hardboard, and engineered wood siding and trim.

The Composite Panel Association (CPA) is an organization that represents the North American composite panel industry on technical, regulatory, quality assurance, and product acceptance issues 12. The association was founded in 1960 and has General Members that include the leading manufacturers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), hardboard, and engineered wood siding and trim. Together they represent more than 92% of the total manufacturing capacity in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The association also brings together the complete value chain affiliated with the composite panel industry.
