The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) recently announced that Dwayne Lusk, president and managing member of Kitchen Logistics LLC, has been selected as an advisor specializing in the area of European Kitchen Furniture installation, sales and customer service for the NKBA Global Connect international business development program.
Lusk is a seasoned wood industry professional with 37 years of management, executive, entrepreneurial, and ownership experience, primarily focused on kitchen cabinets in the single-family and multi-family market channels.
An entrepreneur at heart, he has imported and sold German European kitchen furniture throughout Texas and several other Sunbelt cities. He has held his current position at Kitchen Logistics since 2018. Prior to that, he was director of manufacturing for Wisenbaker Builder Services (Texas) based in Dallas, and from 2011 to 2016 served as VP and part owner of Brandom Cabinets in Hillsboro, Texas. Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at Friedman Corp. (USA); Masco Builder Cabinet Group; Quality Cabinets of Dallas; Great House Fine Kitchens of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Millwood Cabinets of Lancaster, Texas.
Lusk is an important addition to the Global Connect Advisor team, addressing one of the major challenge areas for European kitchen furniture manufacturers: the ability to source and train installers and post-sale customer service for this new category of kitchen products. Kitchen logistics and Lusk’s expertise in these key service and support areas will be critical to North American dealers, designers, and showrooms as they adopt this important and ever-growing new category.
The NKBA Global Connect international business development program is designed to help manufacturers understand business practices in the North American kitchen and bath sector, reducing risk and preparing for successful entry into the market. NKBA Global Connect Advisors are key to this preparation sharing insights, experiences and connections as part of the process.
Membership in the Global Connect program offers access to a wide range of strategic business advisors who are able to consult on topics including distribution strategies, regulations and compliance, finance and insurance, product design and development, among others. The program aims to inspire, inform, strengthen and empower the K&B industry around the world.
“We are thrilled to have Dwayne Lusk join us as a Global Connect Advisor,” said Heather Shannon, NKBA SVP of Strategic Growth. “With a broad knowledge of the European wood furniture industry for kitchens and baths, he brings a sharp eye to this segment of the market. He will surely offer valuable insights to our international members who want to explore entry or expand their business in North America. It’s gratifying to know that Global Connect has become a leading platform where the kitchen and bath industry connects.”
NKBA represents nearly 50,000 North American kitchen and bath industry professionals and owns the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), scheduled for February 25-27, 2025, in Las Vegas. Visit https://kbis.com or https://nkba.org for more information.
