Design awards for CORNERSTONE MAXX and VS ENVI Toolbox
A system solution as ambassador for quality “Made in Germany”: Vauth-Sagel has once again received
several awards for its innovative systems. The judges of internationally renowned awards, such as the German Design Award 2018, the iF Design Award and the UNIVERSAL DESIGN Competition 2018 were impressed by both the design quality and the comfortable functionality of the products.
The prizes perfectly reflect the three virtues which Vauth-Sagel has consistently strived to represent ever since it was founded in 1962: The development of high-quality system solutions that are a combination of German engineering expertise and internationally popular design. "We are extremely delighted about these awards," says CEO, Claus Sagel. "They confirm to us that we do more than just focus on functionality that unlocks living spaces and makes everyday life easier; good design is also very important to us."
CORNERSTONE MAXX as an international design ambassador
In the autumn of 2017, CORNERSTONE MAXX was nominated for the German Design Award 2018 – and therefore for one of Germany's internationally best-known design awards. The prize is awarded by the German Design Council, Germany's ultimate authority for brands and design, which has a clear mission when it comes to this award: The award-winning products must be suitable for and predestined to showcase internationally what is happening on the German design scene. With CORNERSTONE MAXX, the award was given to a product that has already successfully conquered the market thanks to its clever design. When the trays of the corner unit solution are pulled out, it is still possible to access the adjacent unit. With wide and stable trays that look as if they were floating, CORNERSTONE MAXX represents exclusive interior design on the inside of kitchen units.
VS ENVI Toolbox impressed two expert juries
An extremely flexible waste separation system has won not just one but several awards: VS ENVI Toolbox is an organiser add-on made from high-quality plastic that can be added to Vauth-Sagel's waste separation systems. Users can adjust the individual elements according to their requirements, which results in a tailor-made box that can always be readjusted later to take changing requirements into account. Vauth-Sagel impressed not just one but two expert juries with this smart solution: The iF Industrie Forum Design awarded the internationally renowned iF Award Design Award 2018 to the product, and the VS ENVI Toolbox has also won an Iconic Award 2018 in the "Innovative Interior" category. An independent expert jury selected the Naber and Vauth-Sagel collaboration from 500 submissions; Vauth-Sagel contributed the toolbox element. According to the jury, the award-winning products selected every year set "benchmarks in the furnishing industry."
The success story continues
The VS ENVI Toolbox has already been nominated for another award: the German Innovation Award, which, like the German Design Award, is awarded by the German Design Council. This innovation award is awarded to products that shape the future and improve people’s lives. CORNERSTONE MAXX was able win two awards again in the UNIVERSAL DESIGN Competition 2018: The Universal Design Consumer Award and the Universal Design Expert Award. Both products honour outstanding products that are future-oriented and can be used by future generations. An independent consumer group evaluates which assessment criteria of the UNIVERSAL DESIGN award that CORNERSTONE MAXX successfully meets. "The two UNIVERSAL DESIGN Competition awards represent the recognition of an important aspect of our work," says Claus Sagel. "We also always look at design and functionality from the universal use perspective. What Vauth-Sagel develops is designed in such a way that a wide range of different people all over the world can experience the product benefit – without the need for adaptation."
