Dominik Maier takes over the duties of the Business Development Manager for Burkle’s North American woodworking activities. As Master Professional of Technical Management (CCI) and having many years of experience as a sales manager and project manager in the service sector, Maier went through several stages in the Burkle management trainee program. He is currently transitioning to his new assignment out of the new Burkle Technology Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. From there he will be strengthening the Burkle North America organization, which is to be further expanded especially in the woodworking sector.
One of the Technology Center's core tasks is described by Maier as, “Specialist staff and extensive technical equipment for the key product areas are available on site. This facilitates, for example, the mapping of an entire process chain in the area of finishing, from grinding the panel to final coating. We build on this and develop individual solutions. Very close collaboration with the material suppliers is a matter of course for us. After all, we want to be able to deliver a perfect result to our North American customers.” The American market is going well for the company, further growth is anticipated. Maier expects additional interest to come from the IWF Show (Atlanta, 22nd to 25th August), where Burkle has increased its exhibition space to just over 300 sqm. The “Made in Germany” spray coating machine “ROBUSpro” will see its American premiere in Atlanta.
