New Position Emblematic of Arclin’s Increasing Focus on Product Development and Company Expansion
ATLANTA, GA, January 13, 2020 – Arclin, a chemistry-based manufacturer of engineered products for the building, design, transportation and other industries, announced today that it has appointed David P. Smith as vice president of growth and innovation (G&I). Based at the company’s headquarters in Roswell, GA, Smith will head efforts to leverage Arclin’s robust technology platform to explore new applications and market opportunities around the world. Smith comes to Arclin from Egger Wood Products in North America, where he was head of product development.
“We’re excited to have David in this new role for Arclin,” said Bradley R. Bolduc, Arclin president, business/research and development. “A major component of our company focus going forward is on pursuing opportunities for significant growth. Key to that effort will be identifying areas where we can take advantage of our applications expertise to develop new products, enter new markets and expand our global reach. With his experience, drive and energy, we’re confident David is the right person to lead that charge.”
Smith will head a newly realigned G&I group at Arclin, partnering with the company’s research and development and manufacturing teams to identify product opportunities and optimize to-market processes. “Our goal will be to maximize the efficiencies of our efforts to create a clearer path to market and a greater chance of success for new product introduction,” said Smith.
Smith has vast experience and a proven track record in the building products sector. In addition to Egger, Smith has worked for NCI Source, Rynone and Milliken. He holds a degree in business administration from National University in La Jolla, California.
