This year at the Association of Wood Working & Furnishing Suppliers Fair (AWFS), ALVIC USA, the leading global manufacturer of panels, components, and cabinet doors featuring patented technology, displayed its expansive selection of products and applications in an eye-catching and original booth.
The 2019 AWFS Fair spotlighted North America’s largest gathering of woodworking equipment and technology. Featuring hardware, tooling, components, power tools, manufacturing software, lumber, panel and construction material, the fair displayed firsthand what’s new in the industry. In addition, the AWFS Fair also featured an endless array of supplies for furniture, cabinet, millwork manufacturers and custom woodworking shops of all sizes.
For its fourth year in attendance, ALVIC brought a fresh new look to the market with its booth design playing on shapes and color contrasts in high gloss, matte and other textures. ALVIC’s booth highlighted two of its most recently launched products, Luxe Plus and Zénit Plus. Luxe Plus is a surface with an excellent degree of brightness and reflection, boasting a barrier effect against environmental humidity, high abrasion resistance and an ecological production process. Zénit Plus, is a new anti-fingerprint, super-matte surface.

With its immersive experience and unique look, the ALVIC booth drew in approximately 1,500 attendees from a wide range of specialties including architects, designers, millwork companies, cabinet shops, distributors, contractors, and sales reps.
Expansion into the North American Market
Originally started in Spain, ALVIC began importing its products to the U.S. in 2012. ALVIC has since then expanded its presence in the States to meet the demands for high-gloss, laminated European design boards in North America. Through AWFS, ALVIC was able to further grow its network of industry leaders, peers, colleagues, business experts and top manufacturers.

In response to continued growth in North America, ALVIC opened its newest facility in 2018 located in Auburndale, FL. At this facility, the company uses the same patented technology with European style, color and texture trends which they have specialized in for 50 plus years. Since opening last year, ALVIC has launched the first phase of production which includes the manufacturing of the company’s Syncron boards line and is expected to have phase two, producing the Luxe high gloss and Zenit super matte boards, completed this year.
“This new facility will play an important role in growing our presence in the North American market as our commitment to our customers goes hand-in-hand with the continued increase in demand for our products,” said Omar Gonzalez, ALVIC’s US and Canada Sales Director.
Along with the product line development within the manufacturing plant with 350,000 sq ft , ALVIC is planning to open its first showroom in the U.S. later this year in Central Florida, At the showroom, designers and architects will be able to view all of ALVIC’s innovations on-site. The space will also feature areas for client meetings and project collaborations.
