Position Summary: The Product Development Manager leads the Graphic Arts Department. In addition, this position collaborates closely with our manufacturing leadership team and our sales team, focusing on meeting customer specifications. The individual possesses drawing skills, creativity, technical aptitude and has a good sense of color, balance, and proportion. He/she works with Spot Colors, as well as Process Colors and color separations and creates large format textures and gathers and translates customer requirements into actionable designs and production workflows. He/she contributes a creative imagination for three-dimensional thinking to create embossing separations related to steel press plate development and finishing. This individual works in partnership with external stakeholders to create unique customer products and is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Industrial or Graphic Design or related field; and a minimum of five to ten years related experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Bi-lingual in Spanish or Portuguese would be a plus.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, expansion rates, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of design software, image processing tools, and basic productivity suite applications. Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Manages two employees in the Graphic Arts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Possesses strong team building skill.
