This prominent role will provide visionary and artistic direction to the premier manufacturers of laminated products for the flooring, furniture, and composite panel industry while leading a talented Graphic Arts Team responsible for creating innovative designs for its customers. Position Summary: The Director for Design Innovation & Product Development facilitates
the Graphic Arts Department and collaborates closely with our manufacturing and sales
teams, while addressing our customer specifications. This individual possesses drawing
skills, acute visual skills, creativity, technical aptitude and has a good sense of color, balance, and proportion. He/she works with Spot Colors, Process Colors, and color separations, creates large format textures and translates customer requirements into actionable designs and production workflows. He/she contributes creative and imaginative three-dimensional thinking to create embossing separations related to steel press plate development and finishing. This individual works in partnership with external stakeholders to create unique customer products and is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. The Director will spend time with customers in various geographic markets and designers to maintain awareness and knowledge of customer needs and current market designs available.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Industrial or Graphic Design or related field; and a minimum of five to ten years related experience.
